The purpose of the study is to identify the features of innovation and investment activities of the enterprise, theoretical justification and development of guidelines for the creation and use of mechanisms and tools for management, regulation and improvement of the enterprise. Research methods. The study is based on methods: abstract-logical and structural-logical analysis for theoretical generalizations of the conceptual apparatus, clarification of classifications of types of development and its strategies; semantic, morphological and content analysis to identify components, characteristics and clarify the economic essence of the category "innovation" and "investment"; methods of analysis, synthesis and comparison to detail the object of study; expert method - to determine the significance of the components of development and the external environment.Scientific novelty The main scientific results of the study include the following: 1. The most important areas of improving the management of innovation and investment activities of enterprises at the state level are considered. Namely, intensification of the use of state orders; development of measures to stimulate the production of science-intensive products that are competitive in the world market, which would increase exports; stimulating the import of new promising patents, licenses, types of equipment. 2. An in-depth study of the stages of formation of the mechanism of management of innovation activity of the enterprise, development of innovation policy with the use of innovation marketing, management and accounting of investment risks at the enterprise, directions of increase of efficiency of investment activity of the enterprise.
