The hydrogeological conditions forming within Selidovo group of mines fields (“named after D.S. Korotchenko”, “Selidivska”, №2 “Novogrodivska” and №1-3 “Novogrodivska”) against the disturbed geological environment, as a result of coal mining. Purpose. To provide an evidence-based scientific assessment of the forecast of changes in hydrogeological conditions that will occur after the complete liquidation of the mine №2 “Novogrodivska”. Methods and materials. To establish the general picture of the hydrogeological settings in the fields of the Selidovo group of mines, the field and calculation data of previous reports were analyzed, hydrogeological parameters corresponding to the current conditions of mine flooding were calculated. The results of the calculations were compared with existing forecast estimates in order to adjust the geofiltration characteristics. Results. The assessment of the hydrodynamic settings within the minefield №1-3 “Novogrodivska” was carried out at the stage of mines’ workings flooding - №2 “Novogrodivska”, “Selidivska” and “named after D.S. Korotchenko”. At this stage, according to geological and surveying materials, the filtration of mine water from mine №2 “Novogrodivska” into mine №1-3 “Novogrodivska” workings is possible only through the southern and northern barrier pillars that separate mines’ workings. According to a study, a forecast of the mine water flow-rate value, filtered from the №2 “Novogrodivska” mine workings to the №1 “Novogrodivska” mine workings was performed. Technical recommendations for maintaining safe working conditions and hydraulic safety at the №1-3 “Novogrodivska” mine are provided. The study novelty consists in the up-to-day methods and applications of geofiltration modeling adopting during the groundwater filtration quantitative estimation and mine water flow-rates calculation.
