The purpose of the work is to study the processes of dry cleaning of dust and gas mixtures using gas cleaning equipment with the maximum degree of purification, regardless of the dispersed particle size. Research methods - theoretical research methodically-provided with methods of scientific knowledge: logical analysis of information, scientific generalization, systematic approach in the formation of scientific research problems. Based on the analysis of methods of dry separation of two-component gas systems, it is determined that the separation processes by the mechanisms of inertial capture are insufficiently studied in terms of hydrodynamic flows in devices with a field of centrifugal inertial forces. Based on the analysis, it is established that the most promising direction for increasing the degree of purification of gas-dispersed streams is the creation of hydrodynamic conditions in centrifugal devices and in pipelines that supply the gas-dispersed system to the centrifugal device. Such conditions can be achieved if the design of the dust collector (system) in addition to the zone of traditional centrifugal devices includes a previous zone in which there is an intense vortex flow and intense collision of dust particles, ie, the task is to create new designs of dust collection systems (dust collectors).
