The purpose of the research is to form theoretical and methodological bases for substantiating the causes of the trust crisis, deepening the methodological tools of its analysis and evaluation, development of methodology and practical recommendations for restoring public trust in the financial sector. The study used such methods as logical-historical, scientific abstraction, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, system-structural analysis, cluster analysis, multifactor regression and correlation analysis, comparative and statistical analysis, the method of structural equations. A scientific and methodological approach to assessing the level of quality of consumer protection in the financial market as an indicator of the effectiveness of regulation on the criterion of maximizing the level of public trust in the financial sector has been developed and tested. The mediating transmission impact of the regulatory policy to restore public confidence in the country's financial sector on the interaction of the financial and real sectors of the economy has been empirically confirmed. Methodical bases of modeling of consequences of application of complementary interaction of monetary and macroprudential instruments for maintenance of protection of interests of consumers in the financial market are developed.
