The aim of the work is improvement of the inertial filtering separation technology of two-phase flows, modeling of dynamic processes of the heterogeneous systems separation with analysis of the vibration (acoustic oscillations) and coupled heat and mass transfer influence, development and implementation of energy-efficient modular separation devices. Research methods: differential methods of mathematical analysis and integral calculus using computer algebra CAS-systems; methods of experimental hydrodynamics, CFD methods of computational fluid dynamics; methods of the theory of similarity, as well as methods of physical modeling based on the fluid and gas mechanics fundamental principles, the classical principles of the hydrodynamics and hydro-aeroelasticity theory; basic principles of technological preparation of manufacturing and technologies of chemical and oil-gas engineering. A set of documentation has been developed following the stages of development (draft design, technical design, detail documentation), the testing program and methodology of the experimental samples of modular separation devices. Prototypes were made based on modified experimental samples of the modular separation devices, preliminary and acceptance tests were carried out. Scientifically grounded practical recommendations for design and engineering methods of calculating multifunctional separators have been developed to increase the separation efficiency and reduce hydraulic resistance with the determination of modular separation elements optimal design parameters.
