With the help of a complex method using chromatography, investigation of the propensity of specified coal beds to spontaneous combustion was carried out. It is established that coal of bed l3 in the zone of geological disturbances along the windway of the 1st southern face of the slope №1 of the faulting part is dangerous for spontaneous combustion. Coal of bed m42 in the zone of geological disturbances along the 6th southern belt road of slope № 1 and coal of bed l3 in zones of geological disturbances along 1st “bis” southern belt road of slope № 1 is not dangerous for spontaneous combustion.
