The aim of the work is to replenish the collections of winter and spring wheat, winter and spring barley for use in the breeding process in the Central Forest-Steppe part of Ukraine. Research methods - field and laboratory, common techniques accepted for grain ear self-pollinating crops. Mathematical and statistical analysis. Results - A collection of 5762 samples was formed, including: 1837 samples of soft winter wheat, 1239 - soft spring, 536 - hard spring, 1556 - spring barley and 594 - winter barley. New sources of valuable economic features have been identified: winter soft wheat - 125, spring soft wheat - 67, spring durum wheat - 69, spring barley - 75, winter barley - 40 which have been added to the collections for use in the breeding process. 56 samples were submitted for registration to the NCGRRU: 36 winter wheat, 4 soft spring wheat, 6 durum wheat, 4 spring barley, and 4 winter barley.
