The areas of the enterprise tailing with dominance in the phytocenoses of common ragweed. Purpose. To destroy ragweed in the JSC Central GOK tailings with the use of non-herbicides. Research methods. The research was carried in the tailings of JSC Central GOK with an area of 1 ha. The works regulations were observance of the rules and conditions described in the state normative documents and legislative acts of Ukraine [4-8]. The methods of projective cover estimating were used to assess the overgrowth of areas with ragweed. The plants were treated with cordless sprayers immediately before flowering. The revealed ragweed destruction mechanism by means of physicochemical solutions with high osmotic pressure allowed to completely abandon the use of herbicides and to control ragweed using only eco-friendly reagents. Studies have shown the death of more than 95% of plants with little effect on other components of the phytocenosis by leaf yellowing and wilting of individual plants. For the complex destruction of ragweed, it is recommended to create herbaceous groups of zonal species in the areas with its dominance, namely, plants of the cereals and legumes, which will gradually displace ragweed from the phytocenosis.
