As part of a selection program to create new varieties of medicinal plants that are adapted to stressful environmental conditions, during 2016-2019, 165 sources of valuable traits were used in generative hybridization for more than 15 species of medicinal plants. During the expeditions on the territory of 14 regions of Ukraine the gene pool of valuable medicinal and related species was collected for introduction and selection process: 860 seed samples; 76 samples of planting material; 965 herbarium sheets; 50 samples of raw materials.
