Objective - development of conceptual ecological and economic bases and scientific and methodical substantiation of balanced use of natural resource potential of agrarian sphere and maintenance of ecologically safe development of rural territories. Research methods - settlement and constructive, analogy, heuristic, statistical observation, comparison, monographic, abstract logic, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, the system-structural, economic and mathematical modeling, cluster analysis. Apparatus - scientific developments, legal documents, statistics. Scientific novelty: the strategic directions of optimization in the field of use of natural resource potential of agrarian sphere for maintenance of ecologically safe development of rural territories are substantiated; the main measures in the direction of balancing the ecological and economic component in the use of natural resources of the agricultural sector are identified; conceptual bases of ecological and economic mechanism of use of natural resource potential of agrarian sphere are substantiated; the management tools of balanced land use by agrarian formations are improved; the structure of sown areas of agricultural crops was optimized in the direction of ensuring balanced use of agrolandscapes at the national and local levels; the theoretical foundations of sustainable nature management are deepened, taking into account the assimilation potential of land. The practical value of the work consists in increasing the environmental and economic efficiency of agricultural production as a result of ensuring the balanced use of natural resource potential.
