The purpose of the work is to study the genetic traits and economic and biological properties of breeding material, to create varieties of alfalfa blue hybrid with high and stable fodder and seed productivity with improved feed quality. Results: a new source material is created, promising varieties are selected that exceed commercial varieties in a number of economically valuable features, which gives grounds to use them as a source material in breeding for the formation of complex hybrid populations.
