It was determined that for TlIn (S1-xSex)2 crystals (for x = 0, 0.1; 0.25) the lowest velocity (700 m/s) has a quasi-transverse acoustic wave propagating along the crystallographic axis c, and polarized in the direction of axis b. The anisotropy of coefficient of the acousto-optical quality of TlInSe2 crystals in the framework of isotropic approximation was investigated. It was found that even in the conditions of isotropic approximation, the value of the acousto-optical quality coefficient for TlInSe2 crystals is very high - M2 = 687 × 10–15 s3/kg. The temperature behavior of linear thermal expansion in TlInSe2 and TlGaSe2 crystals belonging to the TlAB2 family (A = In, Ga, B = S, Se, Te) and in TlIn (S1–xSex)2 solid solutions in the range of selenium concentrations 0<=x<=0.25 was studied. It is shown that the complex sequence of phase transitions in TlAB2 crystals (A = In, Ga, B = S, Se, Te) and in solid solutions of TlIn (S1–xSex) 2 is due to the presence of different structural polytypes in them. A (x, T) -phase diagram for TlIn (S1–xSex) solid solutions is constructed. The magneto-optical Faraday effect in monoclinic crystals of TlIn(S1-xSex)2 (x = 0.02; 0.06; 0.10; 0.15 and 0.25) solid solutions was studied. For all crystals, the Verde constant VF and the effective Faraday coefficient F/33 at the λ = 632.8 nm under normal conditions were determined.
