The purpose of the work is the development and production of drugs to prolong the duration and quality of life and prevent metabolic disorders based on substances of natural origin. Research methods - physiological methods - determining life expectancy, resistance to stress, determining the rate of development, fertility, physical activity, the amount of food consumed; biochemical methods - determination of enzyme activities, concentration of oxidative stress, determination of triacylglycerols, glucose, glycogen; methods of molecular biology - measuring the relative level of mRNA; methods of mathematical statistics. Geroprotective properties of some substances of natural origin have been revealed. The relationship between aging, metabolism and resistance to stress has been established, as many geroprotectors increase this resistance and affect metabolism. The use of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster as a model object has shown that the addition of chili, cardamom, rosemary, cinnamon, lophant to food prolongs life and improves the physiological state of the body of Drosophila. The molecular-biological basis for slowing down functional aging in the consumption of lophant anise Agastache foeniculum, which are to reduce the intensity of free radical processes and beneficial changes in metabolic processes.
