In addition, variants of breeding selection of pigs were developed and breeding and productive qualities of existing genotypes of pigs were improved and new ones were created, which reduce the age of 100 kg live weight and fat content of large white breed animals by 5.2 days and 1.2 mm and Poltava m. of clear breed, respectively, by 6.7 days and 1.4 mm and increase the average daily gain of young animals by 16-21 g. Based on the calculated breeding value of animals by the BLUP method, the genetic trend for the period from 2013 to 2020 was determined on the basis of average daily growth, fat thickness and BLUP index and it was found that phenotypic values of fat thickness with a high coefficient of inheritance accurately reflect the genetic trend. There are some differences: animals whose breeding value was determined by the average daily gain and the BLUP index could not fully show their genetic potential, which was caused by paratypic factors. The economic effect of the research amounted to UAH 243.42–267.39 in the controlled farms of the region. on the head.
