It was found that the use of the fungicide Acanto Plus in the seed stands of alfalfa, having a stimulating effect on plants, reduced the spread of diseases by 52–67 % and increased the yield of seeds by 0.29–0.40 kg/ha. The highest seed yield of 1.84 c/ha of alfalfa grass stands was obtained by combining treatments with biologically active drug Vimpel with Oracul colofermin boron compensator fertilizer in the budding phase and double application fungicide of Acanto plus in the stem and budding phase. Application of Agritox herbicide (0.75 l/ha) on alfalfa seed crops in the first or second years of life reduced the number of dicotyledonous weeds by 58–62 %, and Bazagran (2.0 l/ha) by 74–78 %. With this use of the herbicide Bazagran (2.0 l/ha) provided the largest increase in the yield of alfalfa seeds of Sinyukha variety – by 0.91 c/ha and Rosana variety – by 0.96 c/ha relative to control (without herbicide treatment). It was determined that mowing of alfalfa stands in the budding phase provides the highest feed productivity of 1 hectare: 8.78 tons of feed units, 2.39 tons of crude protein, 151.52 GJ of gross energy and 92.12 GJ of metabolic energy. The highest efficiency of growing alfalfa for fodder was obtained by mowing in the budding phase by increasing the gross yield of metabolic energy to 92.12 GJ with an energy efficiency factor of 10.1 conventional units.
