In addition, technologies for the use of fodder beets for biogas production as an alternative energy source have been developing intensively recently. Consequently, the demand for raw beets is growing. But at the present stage, the level of yield in many farms remains insufficiently high. Such circumstances give impetus to the introduction into production of high-yielding varieties of the world's leading companies specializing in the production of fodder beet seeds. Objective: to theoretically substantiate the agrobiological and technological elements of production intensification and to improve the technology of growing fodder beets to ensure high efficiency of cultivation for biogas production. Main tasks: - to establish patterns of formation of fodder beet yield depending on the elements of cultivation technology; - identify varieties of fodder beets that provide high productivity of dry matter content and are ideal for biogas production; - scientifically substantiate the optimal parameters of plant nutrition and the impact on growth, development, photosynthetic productivity, yield of fodder beets and product quality; - to establish the effect of foliar feeding with microelements depending on their type, application rate and application period on the background of the main fertilizer on the productivity of fodder beets; Novelty: - for the first time regularities of formation of fodder beet yield depending on elements of cultivation technology are established; - features of growth and development of fodder beets and regularities of formation of a crop of root crops and an exit of dry substances depending on varietal features, meteorological conditions and reaction of grades to elements of technology of cultivation are established; - varieties of fodder beets have been identified that provide high productivity.
