As a result of the analysis it is established that indentation allows to define limits of durability and elasticity practically for all constructional materials applied in the industry. The analyzed literature describes the results of experimental determination of changes in the microhardness of metals under the influence of constant magnetic fields up to 300 mT and the electric field excited by a constant electric voltage in the range up to 12 V, while studying mainly nonferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, lead, titanium, and their alloys. It is noted that due to the above factors, the relative decrease in the microhardness of the studied materials ranged from 10% to 20%, and creep increased by 30% - 70%.
