The aim of the work is to study both intellectual discourses and the course and consequences of the formation of the actual spatial boundaries of the Ukrainian world. The choice of methodological principles of project implementation is determined by the chosen strategy aimed at research and conceptualization of the problem in its entirety with a rethinking of modern scientific visions and stereotypes. Another starting point is the postulation of the fact that without the involvement of a representative set of sources qualitative historical research is fundamentally impossible. It is aimed at the formation of a self-sufficient source base within the project of three fundamental archeographic publications, which in parallel will stimulate the study of many other problems of early modern Ukrainian history.
