Water sampling, bottom sediments, samples of higher aquatic plants, invertebrates and fish were taken at the landfills for further laboratory determinations of radionuclide specific activity. Preparations of peripheral blood of fish of different ecological groups for hematological analysis, and also samples of meristematic tissues of air-water plants and embryos of gastropods were taken to determine the level of chromosomal mutagenesis. Preliminary preparation of peripheral blood samples of fish and meristematic tissues of roots of higher aquatic plants, respectively, for hematological and cytogenetic analyzes have made. Preparation and analysis of anionic-cationic composition of landfill water samples have performed and the exposure dose rate of higher aquatic plants and mollusks within the littoral areas has determined. Preparation of aqueous biota samples for gamma-spectrometric and radiochemical determination of radionuclide specific activity is performed. Measurements of specific activity of 137Cs and 241Am in fish and higher aquatic plants have performed. The obtained results of beta radiation evaluation as a component of radiation exposure dose rate, as well as measurement of specific activity of 241Am (one of the most radiation-toxic artificial radionuclide) in aquatic ecosystems, will improve the dose assessment system for aquatic organisms, as well as to investigate the processes of distribution of transuranic elements in the components of hydrobiocenoses.
