This is necessary to increase the plasma parameters, which requires an increase in discharge current. The experimental results show that the electric current flowing near the MPC electrodes increases up to 20% in the presence of an external magnetic field. The additional axial magnetic field affects the structure of the plasma stream ejected from the accelerator, although it is applied only inside the channel and its magnitude is insignificant at the distances where measurements were performed. Analysis of plasma electron density distributions showed that the presence of a magnetic field does not significantly affect the electron density, but affects the structure of the plasma stream.
