The work is aimed to create new effective solid sorbents of CO2 and to develop methods for convert of spent sorbent into valuable products, which will help reduce the negative effects of CO2 emissions. The aim of the work is to utilize the carbon dioxide adsorbed by iron-containing nanoparticles and to create innovative approaches that will help reduce the amount of CO2 in industrial emissions. For this purpose, a method was developed according to which iron-containing nanoparticles and composites based on them were synthesized. The obtained samples were characterized by methods of scanning (SEM) and transmission (TEM) electron microscopy, energy-dispersion X-ray analysis, X-ray phase analysis, Raman, infrared and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, methods of temperature programmed reduction and desorption. The adsorption of carbon dioxide on the synthesized samples and their redox and acid-base properties were studied. An experimental study of the reduction of the obtained samples of iron carbonate nanoparticles under static conditions at different values ​​of hydrogen pressure at a temperature of 250C. It is shown that under the conditions of the experiment the formation of C1-C6 hydrocarbons is observed. Other hydrocarbons are formed in small quantities.
