LIFESPAN, NUTRITION, FRUIT FLY, MICE, HEROPROTECTORS, NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS The object of study - the lifespan of fruit flies that ate food with supplements high in phenylpropanoids; breeding process mice. The aim of the study was to identify the conditions under which plant extracts (lofant anise and chili pepper) and certain compounds (2,4-dinitrophenol and ferulic acid) have a geroprotective effect, and under which - show toxicity in the model of fruit fly; to obtain an age-synchronized population of mice. Research methods - biochemical (preparation of nutrient media and drugs of the studied additives) and physiological methods (breeding of fruit flies, anesthesia of flies, determination of lifespan of fruit flies, breeding of mouse populations), methods of mathematical statistics. The ability of some food supplements to modify the lifespan of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster has been studied. It was found that the addition of crushed preparations of chili pepper and lophanthus anise and pure substances - ferulic acid and 2,4-dinitrophenol and to food prolongs the life of Drosophila in a concentration-dependent manner. It has also been found that high concentrations of these substances reduce the lifespan of flies (show toxicity). The obtained results form the basis for further research to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of geroprotective action of these applications. An age-synchronized population of young (one-month-old) C57BL6/J mice was obtained, which will be used in the following experiments to study the geroprotective properties of alpha-ketoglutarate, ferula acid and rhodiola rosea.
