Purpose: develop a new methodology for the agricultural land productivity assessing, identify forest degradation based on satellite data and biophysical modeling, using more accurate classification maps obtained using neural network methods, develop a combat desertification methodology, to assess indicators of sustainable development goals 2.4.1, 15.1.1, 15.3.1. Research methods: machine learning methods, geospatial analysis, big data analysis methods, use of cloud computing environments, time series analysis of vegetation indices. The results obtained: - The analysis of existing monitoring land degradation methods according to satellite data is carried out. - Downloaded, harmonized and processed data Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 per year, with masked and restored clouds covering the entire territory of Ukraine. - A GIS project is created, which includes 900 landfills with in-situ data classes for the territory of Ukraine, and 15 points with 3 LAI measurements for agricultural fields in Kyiv region at the JECAM landfill. - Data on tree cuts in Kyiv and Lviv regions are collected. - The database of Ukraine soils on the basis of FAO data, soils profiles and majority crops profiles for Ukraine are created.
