The subject of the study is the processes of transferring the energy of electronic excitations; the generation of electromagnetic radiation in the studied materials and structures; the establishment of the relationship between the conditions of the synthesis of materials and their luminescence properties; processes of the evolution of structural defects in p-n structures. The scheme of local energy levels of β-Ga2O3 single crystals doped with Cr3 + and Mg2 + ions is constructed. The nature of the centers of charge carrier capture in the Ca-Ga-Ge garnet doped with Tb3 + and Eu3 + ions has been established. Mg1-xGa2O4:Mn, Ca3Ga2Ge3O12:Eu3 + polycrystals and Gd3Ga5O12:Pr3 + nanopowders were synthesized. It is established that the bands of intrinsic luminescence of this garnet are of excitonic origin. The parameters of time-separated optically stimulated luminescence for single crystals YAlO3:Mn2 + and microceramics MgGa2O4: Mn2 +, which are promising for use in radiation dosimetry, are determined. By the method of liquid-phase epitaxy, batches of hybrid scintillators of the following compositions were made: single crystal film (MP) LuAG:Pr / single crystal (MK) LuAG:Ce; MP LuAG:Sc / MK LuAG:Ce. The luminescent and scintillation properties of MC LuAG:Ce and MP LuAG:Sc, LuAG:Pr were studied. A significant difference in the attenuation kinetics of MK and MP scintillations of these grenades allows to complete on their basis different compositions of hybrid scintillators of the “MP-substrate” type for selective registration of alpha particles and gamma quanta. The modern level of research carried out in the framework of this research is confirmed by the publication of the obtained results in a large number of rating professional journals with a high impact factor.
