The object of research is the processes of energy conversion in thermoacoustic systems for utilization of waste heat of power plants. The subject of the research is the regularities and parameters of energy conversion processes during heat utilization of low-temperature heat emissions in power plants using thermoacoustic methods. Research methods are analysis and generalization of scientific and technical information, synthesis of the mathematical model of a thermoacoustic energy-saving system, CFD modeling. As a result of research, a mathematical model of a power plant with a thermoacoustic energy generating system for the utilization of low-temperature heat emissions, particularly the cryogenic, was built. The influence of inhomogeneity of temperature distribution on the surface of heat exchangers of thermoacoustic engines on the efficiency of energy conversion processes was investigated. The expediency of phase transition effects application in heat exchangers of thermoacoustic systems is shown. Schematics of ship power plants with thermoacoustic energy-saving systems are developed. It is shown that the use of energy-generating thermoacoustic energy-saving systems provides fuel savings of up to 4 - 8% depending on the type of ship power plant.
