It was found that the original sample of unmodified graphene oxide showed a strong cardioprotective effect in the model of myocardial ischemia / reperfusion of an isolated rat heart which was manifested in the preservation of myocardial contractile function, significant increase in coronary flow and prevention of ineffective use. These data indicate the prospects for the use of graphene for the further development of anti-ischemic drugs for the correction of reperfusion disorders of myocardial function.
