It is planned to study modern approaches to the consideration of this problem in history, linguistics, literary criticism, pedagogy, cultural studies, as well as to substantiate the content of the structure of such a concept as "the national consciousness of the creator of the state", to analyze the ratio of the categories of ethnicity and nation, ethnic and national, national and interna-tional. , to promote the national self-identification of the student, to preserve his national memory. The main atten-tion is planned to focus on the problem of the genesis of the consciousness of the social community from ethnic to national, to characterize the complexity and multi-level nature of categorical awareness of the processes of for-mation of ethnic and national consciousness. On the basis of socio-historical, linguistic, literary, pedagogical, cul-turological analysis of the spiritual heritage of Ukraine, to reveal the issue of leveling national alienation and the re-vival of national identity among students of a medical university, to give students basic knowledge of national sci-ence, which will help to understand the significance of the national factor in the processes ethnic self-identification, to understand the integrity of the world as "unity in the multitude". In addition, the main stages of the formation of the national consciousness of the personality of a student of a medical university in modern Ukraine will be studied.
