Research methods: ascent from abstract to concrete, logical-historical, structural-functional, statistical methods. Results and novelty: The project aims to find ways to resolve the contradictions of digital, social and economic development in order to ensure the complementarity of these components of social change, which is a necessary condition for stable socio-economic progress. The main directions of the influence of digital transformations on economic relations and production efficiency are clarified; shows the changes in social relations that occur under the influence of digitalization; the dependence of digital development on socio-economic changes is revealed; the basic contradictions of digital, economic and social transformations are revealed on the basis of generalization of foreign and domestic experience; the necessity of a complementary approach to resolving the contradictions of digital and socio-economic development is proved; ways to ensure the complementarity of digital and socio-economic transformations as a condition for sustainable development are proposed. A significant place in the study belongs to finding institutional forms of conflict resolution and ensuring the coherence of technological and socio-economic changes, as they are the transitional links between technology, relationships and behavior. On the basis of the conducted theoretical and analytical work the offers to authorities concerning directions and ways of maintenance of complementarity of digital and social and economic transformations as conditions of stable development are developed.
