There was accumulated basic information about the parameters of biological traits of lentils and grass pea of different genotypes. There was created varieties of lentils – Serpanok, and grass pea - Svitankova. Lentil variety Serpanok is characterized by high adaptive properties. The average yield for the test years is 2.43 t / ha, that is 0.32 t / ha higher than the standard variety. The protein content in the seeds is 27-30%, boils quickly and is characterized by high taste. Grass pea variety Svitankova is highly drought-resistant; the plants is 87-92 cm tall, depending on weather and climatic conditions of the year, bushy, forming 7-9 shoots. Weight of 1000 seeds - 210-218 g. Seeds white, round - tooth-shaped. Yield - 2.9-3.2 t / ha. The protein content in the grain is 29.6%. The variety is resistant to diseases, bacteriosis and viral damage. The Serpanok lentil variety was submitted for state variety testing, application number is 20027001. Grass pea variety Svitankova was submitted for state variety testing, application number 20026001. Scientific and methodological bases for creating varieties of legumes (grass pea, lentils) with increased resistance to stress and high dietary qualities have been developed.
