Purpose: to study the properties of new heterocyanometal complexes and materials based on them with a wide range of characteristics of the spin transition. Research methods: X-ray diffraction of single crystals and powders, magnetometry, optical microscopy, Mössbauer and IR spectroscopy, calorimetry. The results of the study: obtained new iron-containing cyanoheterometal complexes with a spin transition based on methylpyrazine composition [Fe (Mepz) (Au (CN) 2) 2] and [Fe (Mepz) 2] (Ag (CN) 2) 2] and phthalazine-based complexes of the general formula [Fe (phth) 2M (CN) 4] [where M = Pd, Pt). The crystal structures of all complexes obtained by X - ray diffraction were established. The change in the spin state during the spin transition was traced using Mössbauer spectroscopy, which allowed to determine the degree of oxidation and the spin state of the metal center. Magnetic and optical studies confirmed the presence of a spin transition and allowed to determine the transition temperatures.
