The problem of such hybrid composites is often concerned with the state of the interface between different materials, where peak stresses under loading are possible. Thus, obtaining the connection between the laminates of the fiber-reinforced polymer and metals of the improved quality and integrity with a high fatigue performance is an important and urgent task. The innovative approach of this work consists in evaluating the mechanical behavior of the main light-weight multimaterials at the interface of the layers under conditions of complex loading, including the effect of corrosive environments. On the basis of the performed complex of investigations, the preliminary estimation of a state of the interface of new hybrid composite materials is carried out taking into account the action of the corrosive environment. Weakening of adhesion at the interface between the protective polymer material and the metal base, stainless steel was observed, as one of the main factors in the loss of performance of modern hybrid materials such as composite-metal, designed to protect metal structures from aggressive environments, including hydrogenating ones. The intensity of the decrease in the adhesive strength of hybrid composite materials increases with increasing cathodic current. Those hybrid composite materials which metal surface was subjected to sandblasting before applying the composite component are characterized by higher adhesive strength. Hybrid composite materials containing a polymer reinforced with hemp fibers have less adhesive strength, obviously, due to destructive effects of corrosive media at the interface epoxy – hemp fibers in the composite.
