There are a number of plasminogen receptors on the surface of a wide range of cells, including blood cells, mediating the involvement of the plasminogen-plasmin system in inflammation, differentiation, cell migration, etc. However, it is not yet known which plasminogen partner proteins are involved in the regulation of the fibrinolytic process on the surface of blood cells participating in blood clot. For the investigation of plasminogen interaction with blood cells, human plasminogen was obtained from donor blood plasma and characterized, an affinity sorbent - plasminogen-sepharose was synthesized, rabbit polyclonal antibodies to plasminogen were isolated and characterized. The effect of native and thrombin-activated blood cells (erythrocytes, thrombocytes, leukocytes) on the activation of plasminogen by tissue activator was studied. The binding of plasminogen to native and thrombin-activated blood cells has been studied.
