The purpose of the work is to develop a method of creating parent forms for hybrid selection of cabbage crops for universal use. Research methods: these are field, laboratory, calculation, statistical. Donors of precocity are all uncommon types of cabbage. Yield donors are early and late ripening types of cabbage. Offered for selection work and were transferred to the NCGRРU 10 lines. According to the set of valuable economic features, the Slobozhanochka line (up to 101.3 t/ha) is promising for the continuation of work, which was prepared for transfer to the Register of Varieties of Ukraine in 2020. For further study, the best are hybrid combinations Lesya / Midor 161%, Kharkivska zymova / Vasilina 144%, Yana / Vasilina 138%, Yaroslavna / Akvilon 113%, Kharkivska super / Zhozefina 124%. During self-pollination of flowers, AI was found on the seeds of late-ripening white cabbage with a high level (0%) and medium level (22.7%) of self-incompatibility in the variety Yaroslavna (43.7%) and the variety Ukrainska osin. With a high level of self-incompatibility (0-14.7%) were identified 11 plants. Methodological approaches to obtaining self-incompatible cabbage lines were presented.
