According to the results of the conducted analysis of the activity of agricultural enterprises, the competitive advantages of zonal production of vegetable products are established and the main factors of efficiency of zonal location of vegetable production (economic - legal, scientific and technical, innovation and investment) are established. The directions of increasing the competitiveness of the industry by forming zonal cluster associations with the participation of integration entities: producers of raw materials, processing enterprises and trade and marketing organizations are substantiated. Regional funds for the production and consumption of vegetables, stocks at the end of the year, losses, imports, exports, feed and planting costs were studied. Proposals for improving the scientifically sound structure of sown areas by region on the basis of effective solutions in vegetable growing have been developed. Developed: scientifically-based cost standards for growing major vegetable crops for certain areas (Steppe - with a predominance of foreign technology, combine harvesting, drip irrigation) and (Forest-steppe - domestic equipment, local fertilization, sprinkling), which ensure the development of vegetable growing in terms of expanded reproduction (profitability of production not less than 35%). Innovative business projects for growing beets, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers, onions on the basis of innovative technical and economic solutions have been developed for the Northeast zone.
