Scientific and practical recommendations for the use of Jersey cows in the Polissya region of Ukraine have been developed. Improved system of reproduction and use of Jersey animals, taking into account the intensity of their cultivation, age of use, belonging to the offspring of individual bulls and lines. The economic efficiency of using Jersey cows for year-round stable maintenance has been established. The system of breeding and selection of Jersey cows and their crossbreeds, offspring of breeding bulls, separate lines and different levels of milk productivity is theoretically and experimentally substantiated. The results of the assessment of economically useful traits of Jersey cows and their adaptability to the conditions of Polissya of Ukraine are highlighted. The housing conditions of Jersey cows at Dan Milk contribute to the realization of high milk productivity, which is due to heredity, but leads to a deterioration in their reproductive capacity. It was found that the adaptation index of animals is characterized by a lack of harmonious interaction with the environment - cows show high milk productivity with a significant deterioration in reproductive capacity, which indicates an inverse relationship between these traits.
