The purpose of the work is the design of technical textiles with the indicators of high strength against various mechanical damages – abrasion, perforation, cutting, impacting, tearing, edged weapons and firearms. Through the three-factor experiment implementation, the regularities of the influence of knitting parameters on the structure's parameters and the loss of strength of the weft knitting yarns (rib 1+1 and plain weave), intended for the manufacture of personal protective equipment against mechanical damage, have been established. The rational parameters of knitting knitwear resistant to mechanical damage have been determined by the given parameters of its structure and indicators of the loss of thread strength.
