The research method consisted of measuring the sample using ultra-low gamma spectrometry in an underground laboratory (Gran Sasso, Italy, 3600 m of water equivalent) in a low-background installation with 4 HPGe detectors with a volume of 225 cm3 each, installed in one cryostat. Main results: 1. An effective method for chemical purification of neodymium oxide powder Nd2O3 has been developed. 2. A sample of Nd2O3 of high purity with mass of 2381 g was created. 3. The sample of Nd2O3 was measured with 4 HPGe detectors with a volume of 225 cm3 each for 25947 hours. In the coincidence spectra, a peak with an area of ​​S = 6.1 +- 2.2 counts was observed, which corresponds to a half-life of T1/2 = 6.9x10^19 years. Thus, the existence of a double beta decay of 150Nd to the first 0+ excited state of the 150Sm daughter nucleus was confirmed. The value of T1/2 is consistent with the results obtained in previous experiments. Measurements are continued to reduce the statistical error in determining the half-life.
