The aim is to increase the efficiency and standardize methods for laboratory diagnosis of mycobacteriosis by developing an algorithm for the gene-phenotypic diagnosis of pulmonary lesions caused by non-tuberculous mycobacteria. Methods - genetic, bacteriological, statistical, equipment - BACTEC system and molecular genetic systems. An optimal diagnostic complex for determining the species spectrum of NTMB strains has been developed. The liquid medium Middlebrook 7H9 is more efficient in isolating NTMB. At the same time, the period of detection of the growth of mycobacteria in the BACTEC MGIT 960 system occurs 10-20 days earlier than in solid media. The average growth detection time on this medium was 19.8 days, compared with 30.5 days on Middlerоok 7H11 and 37.2 days on Lowenstein-Jensen medium (i.e., 1.5 and 1.9 times faster, respectively). The algorithm of action for the effective isolation of NTMB from biological material recommends it to be built on two nutrient media: liquid and one of the solid (Agaric or egg). Molecular genetic methods have shown high information content in the identification of NTMs and are the most promising in laboratories. These methods are standardized and automated, characterized by high specificity and speed of obtaining results, and the advantage of the method using the ExiStation station is automated accounting using software and a short period of identification of mycobacteria (1 day).
