The aim of the project is to develop new, effective, environmentally friendly and cost-effective corrosion inhibitors for steels and aluminum alloys in neutral and acidic environments, in particular on the basis of the by-product of biodiesel production for use in the oil and gas and energy industries. Research methods: potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, gravimetric, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray microanalysis, gas chromatography, corrosion-fatigue tests. The high inhibiting properties of biosurfactants, products of vegetable raw materials processing, commercial reagents of natural origin, and synergistic compositions based on them are revealed in the work. In particular, it was found that technical glycerin in the concentration range of 1...2,5 g/dm3 satisfactorily protects aluminum alloy and carbon steels in neutral environments (degree of protection 79,5 and 58%, respectively), and its synergistic composition with thioureainhibits steel corrosion in 25...28% hydrochloric acid by 92 ... 95%. It is shown that the mechanism of inhibition of corrosion of carbon steels and aluminum alloy in neutral media by rhamnolipids, trehaloselipids, plant extracts, technical glycerin, and compositions based on them is adsorption with inhibition of both electrode reactions. Temporary technical requirements for the production of Eco-inhibitor based on technical glycerin have been developed, its experimental batch has been synthesized and testing in acid washing solutions for elimination of salt deposits has been carried out.
