Purpose: development of theoretical-methodological approaches to the formation and use of natural-resource assets of the recreational and tourism sphere of the national economy. Methods: economic-statistical analysis, expert, economic-mathematical modeling, comparison and generalization, structural analysis and synthesis, analogy and grouping, system and scenario analysis. Results: developed theoretical-methodological and scientific-methodical approaches and recommendations for the formation and use of natural-resource assets of the recreational and tourism sphere can be considered in the framework of achieving the goals of provision sustainable development of natural-resource potential and ensuring the integration of environmental policy in the decision-making process regarding the socio-economic development of Ukraine. Novelty: theoretical-methodological approach to determining the economic content of natural-resource assets of the recreational-tourism sphere is developed; conceptual relationship between natural-resource assets and other assets of recreation and tourism sector is improved; comprehensive approach to the management of natural assets of the recreational-tourism sphere is substantiated, considering, recreational ecosystem services; scientific-methodical approach to diversification of assets formation of recreation sector by redistribution the input of resource-intensive sectors is offered; organizational-economic approaches to taking into account the recreational natural assets in the input-output model are amplified; importance of involving natural assets in the development of the domestic market of the recreational and tourism services during the coronavirus pandemic and expediency of applying the linear economic-mathematical programming model in the context of assessing the natural assets formation of recreational territory are substantiated.
