The object of research - heat and mass transfer processes during drying of composite raw materials based on peat, obsolete sludge and biomass. The subject of research - types of raw materials, in particular milling peat, obsolete sludge, buckwheat husk, wood waste (sawdust) and their composite mixtures, technologies and equipment for the production of granular solid alternative fuels and biofuels. The purpose of the study is to experimentally substantiate the complex processing of obsolete sludge into granular alternative fuel. The research is devoted to the development of a unified approach to the efficient processing of obsolete sludge with the addition of flammable fillers such as milling peat, buckwheat husk, wood waste (sawdust). The development of composite mixtures in the form of granules with the optimal ratio of components allows to solve rational problems of the problem of gradual elimination of huge volumes of obsolete sludge, which put them on the verge of inoperability, which causes negative environmental impact and geological hazards.
