The object of research is visual multimedia data, including digital images and videos, which are processed, transmitted and used in modern information systems and networks. The subject of research are methods of visual quality assessment of multimedia data, methods of characteristics estimation of destabilizing factors, methods of multimedia data processing and methods of effectiveness prediction of these methods. The report proposes a system of complex analysis and image processing based on neural networks. A method for evaluating the efficiency of detecting inhomogeneities in the image using the maximum biamplitude is proposed. A method of preliminary analysis of visual data with determination of characteristics of complex noise is presented. A combined metric based on neural networks that evaluates visual quality of images with typical distortions of remote sensing has been developed. A method of classification of distortionsbased on neural networks that allows to determine types of distortions and their intensity is proposed. Analysis of image quality metrics is performed and an algorithm of decision-making of filtering expediency of images distorted by additive noise is offered.
