The purpose of the work: - Creation of aluminum covering with a magnetron sputtering system (MSS) and an arc sputtering system (ASS); - creation stainless steel covering using MSS and ASS; ion treatment of modified rolled polyethylene; - mass spectrometry studies of gas permeability of polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate modified with metal coatings; - study of metal coatings on polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate using scanning electron microscopy and secondary ion mass spectrometry. Research methods: - secondary ion mass spectrometry; - gas mass spectrometry; - scanning electron microscopy. Aluminum and stainless-steel coatings of different thicknesses were created on polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate using the magnetron and arc sputtering systems. The technique was developed and the necessary equipment for researches of gas permeability of film materials was constructed. Studies of gas permeability of roll low density polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate coated with different thicknesses were done using the secondary ion mass spectrometry.
