Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The object of study: - fundamental problems of the physics of interaction of accelerated particles with the surface of a solid; - hydride-forming titanium-based metallic alloys; - perspective multilayer functional structure with tungsten or tantalum coatings on stainless steel. The purpose of the work:. - expanding the understanding of the main processes that lead to excitation of particles in magnetron discharge and under ion irradiation of the solids surface; the development of recommendations for the theoretical prerequisites for the creation of an analytical complex for the analysis of the surface and volume of solids based on a magnetron discharge in crossed ExH fields; - studying the effects of the composition of surface chemical compounds of hydride-forming alloys based on lanthanum, titanium and zirconium on the hydrogen sorption/desorption kinetics; - studying of radiation defects in W and Ta coatings that are the result of high-temperature irradiation with D+ and He+ ions; determination of radiation resistivity of coatings for multilayer functional materials in CTS installations. Research methods: - optical spectrometry; - secondary ions mass spectrometry; - thermodesorption mass spectrometry; - electron microscopy. The radiations of sputtered excited particles of cathode materials, which were metals Cu, Mn, Cr, W and powder targets CuW with different concentrations of components, and buffer gas Ar of magnetron discharge were studied. The change in the composition of excited particles along the MD axis was established. The significant influence of discharge parameters and excited particle parameters on the distribution of excited plasma particles along the discharge axis was shown. The emission spectra of excited particles of the investigated targets formed in the magnetron discharge and when irradiated with argon ions are compared.
