Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2 The aim of the project is to establish new physical regularities of interfacial interaction processes in nanoscale binary systems, which are characterized by phase diagrams of different types. The object of research - Kinetics of formation of solid solutions in nanoscale binary systems with different types of interaction of components while reducing their characteristic size. Subject of research: - binary films Ge (2 ÷ 14 at.%) - Ag with a mass thickness from 100 nm to 13 nm; - binary films (30 at.%) Au – Ni with a mass thickness from 140 nm to 1 nm; - binary films Ag– (40at.%) Cu with a mass thickness from 35 nm to 1 nm. To solve the set tasks, original in situ and ex situ research methods developed by the authors were used. In particular, the method of measuring electrical resistance, which has proven itself as a method of studying diffusion processes and recording phase transformations, will be improved and applied to establish the limits of formation and decomposition of solid solutions in condensed films. In situ electron microscopy and diffraction methods were used to study the mutual solubility of components in nanosized particles thanks to a special object holder for the PEM-125K transmission electron microscope developed by the authors of the project. As a result of the project: - experimental data on the size dependence of the mutual solubility of components in the solid-state in binary systems characterized by phase diagrams of different types were obtained for the first time. On the basis of these data, solid-state parts of the equilibrium phase diagrams were experimentally constructed for the first time in the nanoscale range of the systems understudy; - for the first time, the existence of a new size effect was experimentally proved, which consists in the transformation of the equilibrium phase diagram while reducing the characteristic size of the system. The appropriate size for the Au – Ni system is determined. Product Description popup.authors Dukarov Sergiy V. Petrushenko Sergiy I popup.nrat_date 2021-01-02 Close
