The structural and mechanical properties of solid solutions were investigated, the model studies of crystal structure, the mechanism of ionic transport as well as the electronic structure calculations for Me7SiS5I (Me = Cu, Ag) crystals were performed. The electrical properties of (Cu1-хAgx)7SiS5I solid solutions crystals as well as of the composite and ceramic samples on their base were studied. The Raman scattering spectra, the diffusive reflectivity spectra, the refractive and absorption indeces of (Cu1-хAgx)7SiS5I solid solutions crystals were investigated. The calculations of optical functions for Me7SiS5I (Me = Cu, Ag) crystals with the help zone states obtained at LDA+U-approximation were performed.
