The purpose of the work is to develop theoretical foundations and new methods of research and analysis: nonlinear properties of modern composite and functionally gradient materials, strength of structural elements for science-intensive industries under the action of static and dynamic loads. Research methods - analytical methods of theoretical mechanics, theory of elasticity and plasticity, mathematical analysis, computer methods of homogenization of composite materials were used in solving the tasks. A new sequential technique is used to study the nonlinear dynamics of thin-walled structures. For the first time, the numerical-analytical method of R-functions was used to calculate nonlinear oscillations of multilayer and functionally gradient plates and shells. As a result of work on the project, theories and methods of homogenization of composite materials that show rheological and nonlinear properties were created; developed parametric models of structures made of composite and functional-gradient materials, which take into account the peculiarities of geometry and physical and geometrically nonlinear deformation under operating loads; methods for calculating free and forced oscillations of composite shells.
