The aim of the study is to give a primary assessment of the introduced varieties, samples and forms of sowing peas (spring) by a set of economically valuable traits and to determine the prospects for the practical use of the isolated valuable forms for further breeding. Reproduce and preserve the best genotypes for work and further research. The subject of research is collection samples of sowing peas (spring), the peculiarities of their growth and development in the soil and climatic conditions of Western Podolia. Research methods - field, laboratory, mathematical. The results of the work - the introduction was carried out and the assessment of varieties and forms of sowing peas (spring peas) was carried out according to a complex of economically valuable traits; a parametric database of the original breeding material was formed. For the period 2016-2020 5735 numbers were under study, incl. in 2020 - 876. Of these, 658 numbers were at the initial stages of the selection process, incl. in 2020 - 121, at the final stages - 195 and 23, respectively. Based on the results of studying the samples of the collection, the best 12 were included in the hybridization process. This year, a new Firefly was submitted for testing: medium late, high yielding, forage direction. The potential yield of the green mass of the vetch-oat mixture is 42.0 t / ha, incl. vetch 21.0-23.5 t / ha, and seeds 2.5 t / ha. A characteristic feature of the variety is its increased branching ability. Seed work was carried out with varieties: Tsvetana and Podolskaya rannya. The practical value of the work - the collection samples were assessed according to the main indicators of productivity in the conditions of Western Podolia; promising breeding material has been created; again the Svetlyachok variety was transferred to government plant testing service.  Product Description popup.authors Burak Igor M.
