It hase been shown, that the anomalous temperature behavior of entropy and the nonlinear temperature dependence of the magnetization are related to superparamagnetism. In the modificated Landau-de Gennes model it was investigated the effects of the influence of ferroelectric nanoparticles on the phase transition temperature and the electrical and magnetic sensitivity of nematic liquid crystals. The dependence of these effects on the physical parameters of the system is established. An electrically controlled switching of the Neel ordering vector in multilayer antiferromagnetic nanostructures with strong spin-orbit interaction was studied in the modified Landau-Lifshitz and tight-binding model.
