The influence of virus inhibitors on the healing of potatoes in in vitro culture, which provide the maximum yield of regenerating plants free from viral pathogenesis, has been studied. The absence of mutagenic effect of chemotherapy for the recovery of potato varieties in in vitro culture has been established. The study of potato samples positive for viruses M, S, X, Y and L using ELISA allowed to identify a number of positive and negative controls. Methodical recommendations have been developed - "Methodology for assessing molecular genetic processes and methods of potato recovery using the method of chemotherapy". The source material for seed production was obtained. The system of DNA certification of potato varieties has been improved, which significantly exceeds the methods of variety identification in terms of accuracy (up to 98%) and resolution, which are used today. A register of marker systems and a database of potato DNA profiles have been created. The introduction of DNA passports in practice will improve the quality of the selection and seed process of potatoes in Ukraine and the effectiveness of control over the varieties created in the country; improve the patenting system for new varieties of potatoes and eliminate the possibility of falsification of varieties and related economic losses.
